‘Smeed Tessellation- A Statement in Design’

The Smeed commercial project showcases the striking Manchester tessellation, blending heritage charm with modern durability. Its bold pattern enhances the space, creating a welcoming and timeless design perfect for high-traffic commercial environments.

Located in Belmore, Smeed is one of Sydney’s growing modern Lebanese-Australian businesses that needed a decorative flooring solution to bring the essence of their brand into the shop fit-out. The Manchester tessellated pattern was applied to the shop front in colour ways inspired by Lebanese heritage, incorporating oatmeal, green, red, black, and white. A custom border in white with black dots adds an extra layer of detail, while the design is elegantly framed by a Windsor border in matching tones to tie the palette together.

The chosen colours create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfectly complementing the brand’s identity. For a fast-moving cafe environment, the Manchester tessellation offered the ideal combination of durability, low maintenance, and decorative appeal, ensuring the flooring colour withstand heavy traffic and while visually representing Smeed’s heritage Style.

“We needed a flooring solution that could handle high traffic while reflecting our Lebanese heritage and brand colours. The tessellated design delivered both durability and beauty, creating a welcoming space our customers instantly connect with”
