Shown here is a stunning octagon and dot tessellation with a decorative encaustic tile positioned as the dot, this encaustic design is called ‘St Moritz’ a popular design. By placing this decorative tile into the pattern design makes this tessellation a little more special. The pattern is framed by the border called ‘Deco” an art deco design that works effortlessly with octagon and dot.

The colour palette selected has a modern take to tessellation, the colours aqua, white, black and grey work perfectly together to transcend a contemporary colour palette. This design pattern can be easily applied to verandas, footpaths and exterior patios. By adding a marble step tread to this design gives it a more glamours and elegant finish to your outdoor area.

This mood board is inspired by tessellation ‘Savoy’ an entrancing design that has a star and cross repeat, set within a grid. Seen here with a Richmond border framing the pattern design perfectly.  The play of colours and shapes sets a unique pattern design, these colours are salmon, white, pink and off white. The colour coordination fits perfectly with the sandstone step tread, a perfect match. This tessellated pattern can be easily applied to the exterior of the home as a veranda or footpath application or set in a commercial setting.

The colour selection can be easily applied to the interior of a home by using the same colour palette. The same four colours can be implemented into a checkered tessellation, a perfect flooring application for a bathroom floor. This mood board was inspired by the beauty of squared shapes, this tessellation is called Dorchester a simple yet elegant tessellated design that are made up of squares and the use of colour play. Seen here is black, off white, brown and white that create a squared design set in a grid like formation. To frame the tessellated tiles a Norwood border with an encaustic decorative tile is applied to the centre, this application creates an excellent finish to the pattern design. This pattern can easily be applied to exterior spaces, such as foot paths and verandas. To enhance the design in exterior spaces bowral bricks can be applied to foot paths to emphasise the path. Additionally, a bluestone step tread can be applied to stairs a perfect application for this tessellated design.

Bringing the outside into interior spaces, porcelain mosaics can be applied to kitchen or bathroom floors. As this tessellated design has a brown monochrome design, black and white can be applied to the interior area. For instance, seen here is porcelain mosaics in squared pattern design ‘M05′ this entrancing design is a great focal point for any flooring application whether in a kitchen or bathroom.
